Frequently Asked Questions Regarding Pricing

Who owns the customer relationship?
Once you have been awarded work - you do. You contract directly with the buyer for production.

What does SourceAuthority charge commissions on?
SourceAuthority charges commissions on all work awarded through the marketplace – for the life of the product. For example: A buyer posts a Request for Quote online and awards it to your company. The original RFQ is for 100 pieces. Commissions are charged for that and any subsequent order for that part. So if the buyer re-orders the part 6 months from now commissions still apply.

When does SourceAuthority bill commissions?
For all orders under $50,000 in value SourceAuthority bills on the date the Purchase Order or Contract is awarded. Our standard billing terms are Net 60 days. For most jobs these terms enable you to produce, deliver and bill the customer.

For projects in excess of $50,000 and/or have multiple shipments SourceAuthority will work with the supplier to develop a common sense billing schedule.

Can I grow my relationship with the buyer?
Once you have been awarded work by a buyer you get complete marketing rights. You receive all the customer information you need to cultivate the lifetime value.

Are commissions charged on any other work the buyer awards to my company?
Commissions are charged only on items posted on the marketplace or through our other reasonable efforts.

What if the buyer requires that I work with them on year-over-year cost reductions?
