In the workplace (office), sometimes workers or employees who do well are often misinterpreted by the superior (head of the company). Because of differences in thinking by both sides, came the ‘negative thinking’ between both. But, did you know that the disease often arise because of too much suspicion?
Tracing the above case, sometimes we often get ill. Disease sometimes is originated from a problem that is very disturbing to human mind. In fact, based on research, the mind is closely connected with the onset of various diseases.
There are several reasons why you should think positive in every respect. One of them is that you have to put a smile on your face and believe that you will get a better life, based on India times page report.
Here’s the reason why you have to think positively:
- Give you luck when you have learned to love
One study found a correlation between being positive and a relationship. To begin with, someone prefers to make friend with optimistic people, making them more likely to ‘go out’ with someone who is optimistic.
Optimists are also happier in their relationships than pessimists, who tend to be unhappy. Optimists work harder in their relationship as well, compared to pessimistic.
- Make your life longer
A Dutch study found that people who are pessimistic, 55 percent more likely to die within a period of nine years after the study, compared with those who are optimistic.
This is due to optimistic people have goals. They strive towards things that help them stay alive longer. They also take care themselves better, and therefore tend to develop less diseases such as cancer, diabetes and heart problems.
- Enhance immunity
A study published in the Brain journal, Behavior, and Immunity asking 124 participants to complete five questionnaires and immunity examination for one year.
People who think optimistically have a much better cellular immunity, while pessimism has a great impact on the body’s immune response. Another study found that activating parts of the brain associated with negative emotions lead to a weaker immune response for flu vaccine.
- Lowering Cholesterol
Diet and exercise are the main way to control your cholesterol, but ‘positive thinking’ is the best way. A study found that optimistic people had higher levels of HDL, which is the good cholesterol.
- Protect your heart
Heart disease is the number one cause of death worldwide. Research shows that people who think positively 33 percent less likely to develop heart disease and 73 percent less likely to suffer heart failure.
This is because, the optimists are better than themselves, by eating healthy and exercising regularly, so these three things go hand in hand.
- Can cope with stress and depression
Research shows that people who think positively can cope with stress, trauma and depression much better than those who think negatively.
Meanwhile, pessimists tend to give up when they encounter a problem, thinking that it was beyond their control. While on the other hand, optimistic is trying to do everything they can to resolve the issue.
- Reduce high blood pressure
A study suggests that people who are optimistic have lower blood pressure levels, and the researchers think that this is because they can handle stress better than those who are pessimistic.
- Makes you look younger
People over the age of 60 years were 80 percent more likely to develop mobility and functional problems if they are pessimistic. Another study conducted in the UK found that thinking optimistic will have better longevity than pessimists, and optimism is strongly associated with healthy aging.
